Year 8 Students Design Next McLaren Car!
Yesterday, we hosted the McLaren STEM DAY at Collingwood which was an incredible experience for our students. As part of the day, McLaren had organised a competition where 50 selected Year 8 students took part in designing the next fastest future McLaren car.
The students were given 50 minutes to design the car and then present their ideas to the whole group. Following each team's presentation, the McLaren team judged their design and presentation skills.
The designs produced by most of the groups were detailed and amazing. However, the winning team was the girls' team. Each girl had outstanding detailed designs and Zoe's designs and detail were so exceptional that the McLaren team were super impressed.
Well done to all the students who created these designs using their imagination and creative skills, and for their resilience and determination.
